It didn’t turn up via search.

And yeah great show. Lot of great characters, Omar, Avon and D’angelo Barksdale, Jimmy Mcnulty, Stringer Bell.

I’m on ep.5 of season 1. I’m planning on watching 2 episodes per day.

It’s a fantastic series, so many great characters to choose from

I also loved the fact that the main focus on the show was the city of Baltimore as a whole

2 episodes a day sounds good mayne, have fun

I was little surprised to find out Idris Elba and Aidan Gillen were in the show.

I watched the Wire a long time ago so this was pretty much the first series that I saw these two actors play a role in

So many to choose from...

My top 3 favorite characters would be Omar Little, Stringer Bell and Bunk Moreland

I can’t really narrow it down between these three

A great comment I found, sums up The Wire pretty damn well

Comment wrote: What Simon and his team of writers set out to do -- and then accomplished -- was extraordinary. They began with drug dealers and detectives -- an enormous oversimplification, of course -- and expanded outward, encompassing this country’s war on drugs and what that cost would be; looked at institutional failure in the police ranks and even in the less defined ranks of the drug world; focused on the struggles of the working class in American cities (Baltimore-specific, naturally), delved into politics and corruption -- and the corruption of hope; presented one of the most accurate, damning and heartbreaking accounts of this country’s failure to properly educate its citizens; added families to its overarching theme of institutional failure by zeroing in on how sociological issues and class structure can’t be cover-all excuses when families abuse their obligations and their free will; then closed it all out by damning the media for its failure in magnifying these issues as incompetence, bottom-line managing for profits, selfish prize-seeking and big-picture blindness obliterating the mandate of a free press to tell the truth that is in front of its face. Without knowledge, there is no change. Without change, history repeats.

Pretty much

Season 1 focuses the Baltimore Police department and a drug dealing organisation

Season 2 focuses on the working class with a major look into the city port

Season 3 expands to the political scene

Season 4 examines the school system and Season 5 introduces the media with the Baltimore Sun

It’s a shame that the show only got recognition it deserved after it ended, it would be different if it aired today.

Yep, it’s a real shame that barely anybody saw one of the greatest shows of all time, during it’s original run

Thanks, lot of great Wire graphics online.

It’s fuckin' awesome so far. Acting is surreal and tons of great characters. I like how we see things from different sides and everyone’s perspective.
