Generator Rex in my opinion was even better than Ben 10. It had better humor, the story was really deep, and it had one of the most badass villains in all of western animation(Van Kleiss). And there was a crossover between Generator Rex and Ben 10. And on the last episode, Rex arguably becomes more powerful than Ben. One thing that pissed me off about Generator Rex is that it was canceled when there were a lot of hints that there was gonna be one more season after the last episode that aired which was the season finale.

I was stunned when I found out that Amethyst was the most complex character in Steven Universe when we got some of her back story in " On the Run " and how her origins shaped who she was now. That to me I found shocking.

Shame that wasn’t made into a full series.

Oh yeah definitely. I loved him he was beastly. Especially in the episode when the powerpuff girls went back in time and saw that him took over the world.

I find Steven Universe pretty great, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best show on CN.

I heard that Gravity Falls' plot is really good. I heard from a lot of people that in terms of having a deep plot, its on the same level as Steven Universe. I’ll watch it when I get the chance so I can see for myself.

I’d say its the best show CN has right now but then again that’s my opinion. I think its the best because it has a deep story, great characters, a phenomenal ost,its hilarious and there’s so many mysteries behind the crystal gems, the gem species in general and Greg’s past with the crystal gems and their former leader rose.

Over the Garden Wall was a fairy tale that told it’s story and knew where to end. I may give Cartoon Network a lot of flak, especially the last several years (full disclosure, I’ve never liked Regular Show and I can’t say I’m interested in Adventure Time), but I have to admit, they’ve done more than a few things that surprised me.

As I said before, Steven Universe came as a surprise. A slow start and at first I thought it was kind of dumb, but then came along the mid-season episodes and Lapis Lazuli.

When I first found out about Over the Garden Wall I was a little hesitant, but then I read a few things and decided to check it out. Wasn’t disappointed.

One thing I have to say, though. Most of my issues with a lot of CN shows now stemmed from a bit of an art-style bias. I did some thinking and realized how stupid that was (I mean, I watched EEnE for crying out loud!) and set that aside. But even with that, I just can’t get into Regular Show at all (I suppose it’s humor just doesn’t appeal to me) and while I know about AT’s deeper plot and darker side, I feel like the show’s actual marketing put me off quite a bit. But hey, maybe I’ll get around to giving it a chance at some point.

I don’t like AT anymore it is just horrible with how it plays out the darker episodes.

You can’t just go from happy go lucky one episode to bleak as fuck depressing the next.

Yeah, that’s probably also my problem overall. An inability to keep a consistent tone, or at the very least make the tone-shifts feel natural and like they contribute to the overall plot. Abrupt tone-shifts are extremely jarring.

Yeah that’s why I love Gravity Falls so much, it actually builds up to the darker and or deeper stuff so its not smashing you in the face.
