Some of the best moments in the entire series by leaps and bounds.

When I first saw those episodes, I thought to myself “this show is actually pretty good. I’ll start watching this from now on to see how it goes. " And it gets even better from there. Well not from a story standpoint at least not until Warp Tour when we start to get some more of the plot and the season finale we get a shitload. And we get a good amount in the episode " Rose’s Scabbard " when we found out there was a great gem war over 5,000 years ago to save the planet.

I’m not saying it doesn’t get good, I’m just saying it’s hit-and-miss. My friends say it’s the shit.

A fair assessment. But honestly I’d say the good episodes outweigh the mediocre ones.

One more thing. The OST in Steven Universe is the definition of phenomenal. Here’s an example.

Yeah. That episode made me feel so bad for pearl. She really misses rose so much. It really makes me think that she hates greg because if it wasn’t for him, rose would still be alive.

Idk I’ll give it creativity which has points but I think I’m just sick of every comedy show revolving around a character being stupid, it’s over saturation. I dig regular show.

Steven’s not really stupid per say. He’s just a kid who’s growing up and has to go through a lot of things that no other human could relate to. Rebecca Sugar(the show’s creator) even said that the show’s a coming of age story about steven growing as a person. Who knows, maybe in the future, he’ll become as badass as Simon did in gurren lagann later on. And SU isn’t just a comedy show. Its more of a mix of comedy, action, adventure and sci-fi.

Not even joking, I thought Steven was supposed to be legitimately autistic when I first heard of the show. If he’s gonna grow up, I hope it happens soon.

He’s actually growing up now. After the events of the season finale when a group of gems invaded earth and steven and the crystal gems stopped them, he developed a lot to the point where he said that he needed to abandon his humanity and his ties to the human race(something around those lines anyway) and even told his best friend Connie(the woman he secretly loves) that he didn’t want to be friends anymore and that he had a destiny to fulfill but he only said that because he was trying to protect her and didn’t want to get her involved because it was way too dangerous and he knew that things were gonna get even worse.

Another good thing about SU is that there’s a lot of anime and game references. Like how steven had a manga volume of sailor moon on his dresser and how they showed he had a game cube and a Nintendo 64.

A good example of how good the show is is the dialogue and amount of reveals in this scene. Quick warning the title is a bit misleading.

The video was " Greg tells Steven how his mom died "

Honestly the video should’ve been called " Greg tells Steven the truth about the gems " lol.
