straight I’ll die waiting, Jomas! :'(

Heh, so I’m completely in a mess with myself. I’ve read the first book, I don’t have the second one but I have the third (part 1 and 2) - not sure whether I should just read what I have or wait til I’ve read the second book and watched season 3 (because I like reading things after I watch it xD).

I would read the second before the third book, there are some things that are important in it that aren’t shown in the 2nd season.
however it’s really your experience, you get to choose how it goes, either way the third is most likely my favorite.

In the wedding feast for him and Margaery, Joffrey drinks wine that is poisoned by Ser Dontos Hollard, who is working for Petyr Baelish to kidnap Sansa (in order to save and use her; interestingly enough, Dontos' cover is to save Sansa). Cersei believes Tyrion to be the poisoner as Joffrey points at him right before he dies.

There is no certainty as to the true perpetrator(s), and it is even possible (though unlikely) it wasn’t the wine that was poisoned.

POISON IS A WOMAN’S WEAPON!!!!11!!1!!1!
At least the bastard’s dead. Would’a been cool if The Hound had just randomly appeared while shouting 'FUCK THE KING' and stabbed Joffrey in his bratty little face.

Why are you guys running around about a MAJOR character death and not using spoiler tags?

Indeed. Or a eunuch’s... wink

I disliked Joffrey, but being killed by his inexplicably faithful servant and lapdog would be too much.

I-I’m sorry! It’s all because I just learned that Anakin killed Voldemort.

Back on topic, the show is great. The occasional explicit content and casual dirtier language may get annoying (and may draw the disapproving attention of parents, guardians, roommates, etc.), but on top of being well made and more accurate than most book-based media it has interesting themes and morals.

Well, it’s a good thing I’ve already read the books.

Can’t say the same for my brother though, because he already saw the posts. Poor guy.

wink Ah, true that, true that!

Bahaha except he ditched him anyway~ Loyalty right there. Eh, I love Sandor and hate Joffrey, I would’ve been cheering if he’d killed him hahaha.

If I was a perpetrator, I apologize to him. Though it was in explicit spoiler tags. :/

True. It was about time, actually.

I like Sandor, but also dislike him due to his inability to not be aggressive and often misunderstood. It would have been nice if he had killed Joffrey; however, while he was evil and a brat, he still was only a kid.

Hum, I guess so. Joffrey should’ve been separated from Cersei, fostered somewhere else tbh. =/

^You call that an “explicit” spoiler tag? Jesus....

Anyway, I hope they give some characters more light. Hell, I liked Tywin’s little development in the series. A lot of book readers would argue that he’s suppose to be a boring as shit war leader, but he actually had a personality in the TV series. Never anything wrong with giving more character to a character that needs it.

Agreed, TT. wink

~~~
... “Joffrey’s death is described here."
If I didn’t read that far, I would never open a tag with those words.
Nonetheless, I’m truly sorry about that. I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s experience. ;_;
Tywin has a lot more character than many people think, though not much development. One needs only read the books closely and not be biased against him.
Yeah, but the tag label explicitly says that character dies! That’s a major spoiler! Just because you put the details of it in a spoiler tag does not mean that it’s not a spoiler.(Hell, he didn’t even click it)
I can’t be the only upset that Davos has been shafted. He’s one of my top 5 fav characters from the series.
I also noticed they made Cersei seem more sympathetic...in a psycho sort of way.
Yeah I hear Cersei’s character has more depth to it in the show cause in the book she’s just 'pure' evil or something along those lines. Haven’t read enough to say anything about that yet.
Almost all characters will die, especially if they’re major. Besides, it could just as easily have been a joke (as the rest of the spoiler description was).
But I see what you mean; it wasn’t much of a spoiler tag. Sorry about that.
