Oh, Captain Cold is being portrayed by Wentworth Miller. Now there’s a blast from the past.

I’m guessing he hooked up with Heat Wave @ the end?

Not bad, not bad. Kinda wanted to see Grodd, though.

Eh, fuck it. No-one cares about some primate when we’ve got Dr. Wells. They all but flat-out stated on-panel that he’s Professor Zoom, no?

Yeah CW proven that they can do super hero tv series and turn up good.
I only wish CW had taken also Gotham, imagine the crossover.

It took them a while to be able to get it right. Smallville had it’s problems. Loved Arrow and Flash so far, though. Much better than Smallville.

Yeah, Eddie being Zoom is a definite possibility, but I’m still leaning towards the mysterious Harrison Wells. Dude has history with Eiling and everything.

And yes, Grodd’s coming up next week~ grin

If I may belatedly opine, casting Wentworth Miller as Mr. Snart was an excellent move (and not just because I miss Prison Break).

As for Dr. Harrison Wells, though seeing him as any incarnation of Reverse Flash would be interesting, he could be nothing more (or nothing less, depending on how you view it) than an entirely original character. tounge

I think Dr.Harrison Wells is a completely original character, but I could be wrong about that.

It just doesn’t seem like he really lines up with the possible villians people have been speculating about.

If I had to throw a second guess I’d say a future Barry Allen, I mean the future version is always like evil and shit, right? idk.

Eddie (Thawne) is in the show, right? Idk if they said his last name.

That one is pretty much a given though, not much to speculate there.

Eddie’s on the show, yes, but I don’t remember his surname being thrown around.

Besides, a lot of things don’t add up. He’s supposedly a ~ year(s) Barry’s senior, but Zoom was a grown-ass man when he merked Barry’s mother (note: Barry was ~10 then, iirc). So, unless he went back in time, it can’t be him.

What’s more, we’ve yet to see Zoom do anything in the current storyline. Even if they wanted to hide his identity, they could still show the masked villain. On the other hand, Dr. Wells has actually done stuff on-panel. Throw in his obsession with Barry and how protective of him he is, and...

That’s exactly what he did, time travel via speed force or cosmic treadmill.

The newspaper headline at the end of episode 1 pretty much proves it is involved, and possibly some talk about Crisis on infinite earths (just speculation since the headline talks about flash being missing)

Although I’m just taking about what I know in the comics, the TV show itself could turn out completely different. So take the speculation with a grain of salt.

Yeah, I’ve read Rebirth as well, but the TV adaption still isn’t 100% loyal (as per usual).

'Sides, I think it’d be really anti-climatic to bring in the Speed Force already. So, my best guess? Eddie is actually Malcolm Thawne.

Of course, I could be wrong and Eddie is Zoom and H. Wells (I’d bet money “G” is his middle initial) is Malcolm. As Zero said, this is all just speculation.

EDIT: Good catch about the CoIE. I had to re-watch the ending of the pilot to notice it.

Yeah rebirth was awesome, totally one of my favorite books.

You might be right about that, they might just introduce it later down the line, and I’m gonna have to watch a couple more episodes to make a better guess on Wells, he’s definitely an interesting character since after 5 episodes there is absolutely nothing clear about him.

And yeah it was easy to miss, they only showed the headline for a few seconds.
