BAM!
“The Fastest man alive”

“After witnessing his mother’s strange murder and his father’s wrongful conviction for the crime, Barry Allen is taken in by Detective Joe West and his family. Allen becomes a brilliant but socially awkward crime scene investigator for the Central City Police Department. His obsession with his tragic past causes him to become an outcast among his peers; he investigates cold cases, paranormal occurrences, and bleeding-edge scientific advancements that may shed light on his mother’s murder. No one believes his description of the crime—that a ball of lightning with the face of a man invaded their home that night—and Allen is fiercely driven to vindicate himself and to clear his father’s name. Fourteen years after his mother’s death, an advanced particle accelerator malfunctions during its public unveiling, bathing the city center with a previously unknown form of radiation during a severe thunderstorm created by the accelerator. Allen is struck by lightning from the storm and doused with chemicals in his lab. Awakening after a nine-month coma, he discovers he has the ability to move at superhuman speeds. Dr. Harrison Wells, the disgraced designer of the failed particle accelerator, describes Barry’s special nature as “metahuman”; Allen soon discovers that he is not the only one who was changed by the radiation. Allen vows to use his gifts to protect Central City from the escalating violence of metahuman criminals. He is aided by a few close friends and associates who guard his secrets”

Yeah I liked that scene.

I`m hoping, if the series gets succesfull, that somewhere around Season 3-4, they introduce the Speed Force.

I’m sure they will. Probably sooner than that considering the overall feel I was getting from the series.

Yeah They’ll introduce the speed force a lot sooner. With them showing Zoom so early in the series I have a good feeling about hearing about it toward the end of season 1 or 2.

Second episode was pretty good, and really set up high expectations for every ending for each episode.

I mean each ending kind of just hypes you up for the rest of the season.

Anyone else really into this show atm? Seems like a lot of work is being put into it.

Just like with superhero movies, it’s hard to go wrong with a superhero show. Love it. Arrow still >>>>, doe.

The only real complaint I had was Zoom being alluded to in the pilot. :/

Yeah, I only agree with that for now because Arrow has already established itself with 2+ seasons.

Although seeing how they’re hardly going cheap with the special effects in the Flash tv show I haven’t a doubt that I’ll enjoy it much more sooner than later. I’d say after seeing a fight or two with Captain Cold/ RF I’ll be hella happy with the show.

I mean just having cool effects for the after images will have me loving the show more. Kinda like in the comics.

Edit- oh shit I fugged my spoiler. Abort, abort.

Yeah, the special effects are pretty cool. They had 'em in Smallville as well. Didn’t know you read comics, though. <3

Anyways, the whole appeal of characters like Green Arrow is that they don’t need cool superpowers to make a difference. Which is why Batman always >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yeah, but there are two types of heroes: Meta-humans and Mystery Men. They’re supposed to compliment each other. I appreciate the contrast and would like to see cross overs between the two.

Ah, didn’t watch Smallville so I didn’t know.

Right, I mean don’t get me wrong I think Green Arrow is great. I love the show, and it’s part of my top three shows right now actually. I’m just a big Barry Allen/Flash fan since he’s like part of my top 3 heroes of all time so anything related I’m hella hyped for.

And yeah, I’m kind of new with comics actually. I used to collect them when I was really young but just got back into them. I buy pretty much anything that piques my interest at the local comic shop and I’ve been following really closely with Any Flash/Batman/Green Lantern stuff atm.

Not for majority of the audience it isn’t. (Which by the way it’s non comic book readers who probably don’t give two shits about whoever you just said.)

Yeah, the Batman/Superman and Batman/Wonder Woman dynamic is iconic. Not that Oliver and Barry don’t have their own special bond (which is evident on the shows).

Nice choices, qt. I’m a Hal Jordan fanboy myself, lol.

If you’re ever in a Marvel or Image mood, hit me, Loseph, AIDB, or Kinasin up. We’ll give you some recs.
