So...how does statistics work?

permutations, combinations, probability distributions, and things like that
these are simple concepts which are incorporated into fun questions smiley

Statements like these make my teacher laugh.

my version of fun = evryone else’s version of work

Y’know, this reminds me...
Everyone in my Math class has a resentment towards Math, while I have no problem doing it. TBH, it’s actually kind of fun at times, although there’s obviously other things I’d rather do.

i know exactly how you feel.

Calc 2 was gay dude. Jacobian pieces of shit and Spherical coordinates. F that

there are spherical coordinates in mechanics 1 as well smiley

I’m talking about integrals too though.

In orbital mechanics we had spherical coordinates, but we didn’t use spherical integrals. Only started using those for structural analysis.

Factoring, graphing, and so on is not really fun. Wait until you actually do some higher Math or Science classes that heavily use math. Those can be interesting and fun.

See, Calculus, Physics, all that high level math, looks pretty damn cool, but I can’t do it right now, cause I’d fail it hardcore, and I have to take other Math courses till I can finally take them.
@Welp, I think people may not like it because they either: 1. find it boring. Or 2. have a very troubling time with it, thus they can’t really even find it boring, and it’s more of a burden on them than anything else. Cause trust me, there are some kids in my school who have a lot of trouble with math, seemingly.

Although, my teacher was funny by being all enthusiastic about Math saying it was good, and fun, and everyone but me is just like “NOPE!"

I’m in Pre-Calc (the trig part of it) it’s actually easy as hell. Just got to law of cosines, which is about as complicated as it’s been this whole time

I’m actually on TKAM right now, but we’re right about to jump out of it. TBH, English can be a gift at times (watching movies, but they give me something else to do while watching the movie, making it sort of a chore), and just something I want to get over with as fast as possible due to how boring it is. You see, I feel weird sometimes. Math is actually at some points the class I most look forward to...and I have a cooking class, lol. Every class I have is fine, can either be boring or fun. Nothing less than boring, unless it was first semester Bio-Med...

If you are really interested in Math you could easily tell this to your counselor and do online courses to get ahead quicker. That is, if you’re up to the challenge.

I could always do that, I’d have no problem with it. I think math is interesting enough that I’d try to jump ahead.

Same. Not only do I find math most enjoyable, I also find it the easiest subject to perform well in. Not that other subjects are comparatively harder or anything, boredom greatly affects my performance.

I was just thinking of going to this place called Khan Academy, my family generally gets a better understanding of certain math concepts and whatnot when they watch the provided, myself included when I’m stuck (though teacher input generally gets me out of that position) This may not be a guaranteed A grade for future math classes, but it may allow me to understand everything when it comes at some point, and if I don’t understand what I’m dealing with, that’s when I start to suck at actually doing the work. However, I don’t have any trouble with stuff when first introduced to it, so I may not need online courses considering my current performance in math.

Kahn Academy is a great free learning site. I use it for some Astrology studies and stuff here and there. MIT has most of their materials online for free through their site, too.

It has Physics and Science on there.
Which I was forced to skip in place of Biology for my next year in school. >:[
Although I’ll probably find it to be a fun class, still, I mostly wanted the other two. My friend also has that class next year, so we may just end up in the same room.
