So it’s New Year’s and I’ve been watching the Walking Dead marathon. So I thought, why not spend my last day at home roleplaying with friends about zombies? This won’t be like the one I tried to set up last time, with the German accent and the whole cod-esque atmosphere. Ja, zees time, ve ah going to do somezing diffehent. So the setting will be wide, but probably contained so that interactions can happen at some point. Everyone can start out wherever they want, with a weapon of choice, and it’s all free from there.

Now, for the boring part (aka rules)

1. You’re allowed to PK (player kill) without permission. This probably isn’t favored by most rp’ers, but...
2. If you’re PK’d you can come back as a zombie (following the 'already infected' rule) or you can introduce a new character, or stop playing if you’re bored.
3. Don’t complain about your character dying and start annoying ooc arguments.
4. It’s the zombie apocalypse, deal with it.
6. If you are a guest poster and decide to PK someone without even joining the rp, then your post will be disregarded. All players must be a genuine part of the rp before having the right to PK.

And now, I will allow a quick ooc for a debate on the setting/lay of the land, if necessary. Unless it’s decided to make it up as we go, I’ll take all suggestions into consideration. Once that’s done, roleplaying will begin.

Oh also. Hidden rule #5: No super powers, we’re all human. Haha. Just shoving that in there.

Most of all have fun. It’s all inclusive, so anyone is allowed to join. You can interact with other characters or survive by yourself. This is your apocalypse, do what you want.

Are we allowed to play as immune characters?

Immune to the zombie virus? Hm. Yeah. I’ll allow it. Don’t know why you want that though.

New rule. As to keep down the population of 'immune' characters, anyone who joins will be decided with a roll of my dice. If fate allows, you may have the chance to be immune if you so choose.

Since you proposed the idea, you may be the first immune without a roll.

And now I’m going to work on my introduction post. Don’t hesitate to post before me. The setting will be made up as we go along, if there are no discussions or suggestions.

One more thing, anyone can control zombies, and can send them on other players as well. If you are bitten, be a bitch if you’d like but please let the inevitable take place eventually.

Heavy, clumsy footsteps and the moaning of the undead broke the silence in John’s head as he awoke slowly from his nap. Glancing at the two mutilated bodies on the floor nearby him, John thought he had taken care of all of them in that room. He realized the noise came from the floor above him, and supposed he missed one before falling asleep. He felt lucky it didn’t find him over that hour, maybe two, that he’d been out. It was enough of a pain taking out the other two, and too tired to take on another, John lifted himself from the bloodied couch and grabbed his baseball bat before leaving the old house he’d occupied. It had been five days since his first encounter with zombies. John’s mom was the first to turn, and she started to infect the others. He didn’t realize what was happening at first, but instead of facing the monsters that used to be his family, John escaped before they came for him and ran off to leave them behind. He didn’t know how it happened, just that there was no turning back. He’d been stopping at places along the way, searching for food, weapons, anything he could get his hands on. It would have been cool to come across a gun or katana or something, but not a lot of people keep those around, unless they’re locked up pretty well. John snapped out of his flash back, shaking his head as a zombie approached slowly from his right. John looked it in the glazed, lifeless eyes, and waited for it to get close before he forcefully whacked it across the head, busting its skull open. The zombie hit the road with a thud, its gore splattering along the pavement. It wasn’t quite dead after the hit though, writhing and struggling to get up. It made a raspy hissing as it looked up at John, who had started to escape before giving it a second look. John continued down the road and watched for any people or stores he could find along the way.

I’m not very familiar with zombie apocalypse survival generes, but here goes nothing

A young man was having a flashback...
Andrew finally could rest after taking his college exams. On his way home all he could think about was a good ol' lazin' around and watching TV 'adventure' with no drama, nor action.
As he went home he saw something suspicious . The neighbours next door seemed a little strange. They where very pale and seemed to have problems walking. The young man came over to see if they needed help.

...And here he was now, running as fast as he could just so he could escape the two zombies, and another dozen which joined them out of nowhere. He was wondering if he was dreaming..if it was a dream it sure as hell seemed real. He ran to his and his father’s secret place. He was a bookworm but a rather unusual one. He was actually athletic and was trained in hand-to-hand combat and weapon use by his father which worked as a comando.

The secret place was a hidden, underground cave of sorts, which contained many weapons, first-aid kits and a few motorbikes. Andrew baricadated himself in...for the moment.

As John continued down the road, he came across a small antique shop at the side, and it looked to be zombie free-at least for the time being. The door was apparently locked, a large CLOSED sign shown on the window. He bashed the windows in with his bat and unlocked the door from the inside. Some of the undead were around to hear the shattering of glass and came walking towards the source of the noise. John couldn’t let his new find get infested, and not many were there, just three. He crushed their heads before entering, hoping no others heard him. He closed the door behind him, but the windows were of no use anymore. He probably wouldn’t stay too long. John searched the place for anything he could use. A World War 2 German sword.. would he take it? It had a swastika on top. Well, he was the least bit worried about offending anyone in his current situation. He broke open the glass casing and stole the sword, wrapping it around his shoulder. He found a bagged lunch under the counter, too. The cashier probably hoped to come back to the store. If they ever did, they would be unpleasantly surprised to find that it had been eaten. John didn’t bother to take any money. He figured he wouldn’t hurt anyone to take what he wanted and go.

A shadowed figure scurried along a wide open trail in the middle of the night. Her long black hair flowing behind her as she carefully looked around. She stopped suddenly as a zombie it’s blood all over the floor Lao about writhering at the side of the road. She rushed into a small country store on the side of the road dissapearing from the night’s cold air. She had a feeling it would be a long day.

Soon after her discovery Christy as she was called began to crawl out the window into the shop to find herself facing a man with a old sword from the looks of it. She quickly backed away in fear of it being a zombie ,an grabbing a antique vase which happened to be what was closest threw it at the man

John quickly backed up, startled by the woman who showed up out of nowhere and put his hand up to protect himself from a flying vase. It shattered forcefully against his palm and being a fairly heavy object, broke a couple of his fingers in the process. Shards of glass cut and bruised his hand, as well as his chest and part of his face. “Oh God why!" He yelled as the bloody mess dirtied his favorite clothes. Not to mention it left a bad sting. He was tempted to strike back with the sword, but that would probably worsen things.

Christy recoiled and put herself into a defensive position when she heard the supposedly infected man cry “Oh god why!" . Now she was a little caught off guard. Just how would a zombie be able to feel pain like that. She hadnt encountered one face to face yet so she wouldn’t know. She carefully and slowly put a step forward " A- are you ok s - sir?" She stammered.

John held his hand in pain. “I WAS, until you broke my hand with a vase!" He cursed under his breath, looking for something to wrap it with.

A new fire and passion rose in her eyes as she found a old piece of cloth and scurried over to him. She carefully and expertly wrapped his hand tightly"My mom used to be a head nurse." She opened a cabinet in the back room where the recent in dweller made his home , and finding bandages put them on the man’s most deep and painful cuts . She found a pair of pants and a oversized shirt and gently gave I to the man " Here you need to change , you don’t look exactly welcoming in those clothes." She said turning her back but then turned her head over he shoulder “I am Christy bye the way”

“Uh? Thanks, I guess." John scratched his head, wondering why he’d have to change, or why not looking welcoming had any importance. They WERE his favorite clothes after all. He took the new clothes anyway. “I’ll change them later. I’m John." He put the sword into the hilt that was next to in in the display and placed it around his shoulder. This lady seemed a bit crazy to him, but at least she had some medical experience. He hoped there were no undead around to hear the vase shatter, more importantly.

Christy looked at him before asking So uh where do we go now... I mean we should stick together” she said uncertainly. She glanced startledly around the room when moans were heard and fists banged against the door clearly zombies and about half a dozen of them from the sound of things . “Oh no now what!" She said her panic rising. And with a loud bang came five zombies the door flying into the wall. Uh-oh she thought this was not good not good at all.

(Zombies won’t send a door flying across a room, but they can break it down... lol just saiyan)

“They must’ve heard the vase breaking! Go look for another exit, I’ll keep them busy!" John pulled the sword out, backing slowly away from the zombies in a direction away from Christy. He’d hoped his stay at the shop could have gone on a little longer, but that’s the price he had to pay for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He kept himself from attacking the zombies right away because there were too many at once; if he went for one at a time, the others could go grabbing at him.

Christy stood rigid with fear. John had told her to get out of there but she was rigid and couldn’t move and inch, out of fear or courage she DIDNT know. Her natural instinct was to run but if John died or worse got infected it would be her fault. She couldn’t just leave a injured man to fight 1 to 5. But she would have to think so exiting would be the smartest thing because then she could come back for him. So with that in mind she sped off as fast as she possibly could to the back door and sprinted out into the night.

John backed up behind one of the isles and pushed it over on top of the zombies, breaking a bunch of antiques. A couple of them were squished under the bulk of it, and John stabbed another in the head. The other two went around it and one grabbed for the sword, scraping its fingers against the edge and having them sliced off. Another reached for John, and he backed up, cutting off one of its forearms. The other ones that were squished continued to try and get out of under the isle, and John kicked the armless zombie in the chest, knocking it down. The fingerless one grabbed at John’s shoulder and closed in, and John grabbed it by the neck to hold it away from him. Using his sword, he stabbed it in the head and pushed it off. The armless one was still crawling and grabbed him by the ankle, pulling until he tripped. One of the others was almost out, and John kicked at the armless zombie’s face to get it away, but it relentlessly came at him.

Christy heard bangs and moans and couldn’t help but peeking through the window. She immediately regretted it ,talk about a sight for sore eyes! She grabbed a old rusty medal pipe near the water drainage and sneakily entered the building. One zombie apparently wasn’t giving up but before he could continue his assault on John. Christy charged him with a loud battle cry and before the zombie could react slammed the pipe on his head . She watched in horror as the zombie’s skull cracked open and it fell with a thud. She fell to the ground panting slowly and heavily her hair dangling in her eyes showing she was in shock. She just killed someone! She slowly looks up at John “T -thank you for helping me back there I-I owe you my life.." She muttered her voice shaken.

John got on his feet, shaken by the zombie that just wouldn’t let go of his foot. He looked at Christy, breathing heavily. “Well.. alright then." He took a breath and looked down at the other two. One of them had crawled out from under the shelf, and John quickly stabbed it, then the other. “I guess we can’t stay here anymore. Let’s get out before more arrive." He started to walk out the front door, gesturing with his broken hand for her to follow.
