Professor Eidolon wrote: Oh yes, The Trainer vulnerability is handled pretty well.

He’s normally issuing commands via data chip that each pokemon and himself have implanted in theeir brains. Which can work for miles if enhanced by certain things.

Also the fact of the Bond Shield, Which is like a Double-edged sword, Its a shield made of a pokemon’s life-force. Ill hammer out the science things later.

Double Edged sword because of the ability to attack the shield, which will harm the pokemon.

Works like this, Tougher pokemon (Jellicent, Spititomb) will have a tougher shield than the likes of frail pokemon (Gengar or Froslass). If a pokemon is killed or knocked out, The Shield around Eidolon will disperse.

Its one of the Reasons Eidolon will normally have more than 1 pokemon out at a time.

Why would the shield disperse if a pokemon is dispatched? Would it not be shared among the pokemon in play?

I was thinking it was one shield at a time.

@Demonbane- You could make your own electronically activated pokeballs. Just drop them all and push a button.

If he has two pokemon out, then there should be two shields, or at least the equivalent of that. The loss of a single pokemon while there are more than one and they are all linked to the shield (thus any pokemon that is out will create a shield) should not disable a shield projected by more than one.

Also, even if you could have 100 pokeballs, I figure it’d start getting pretty damn hard keeping track of which one is who without some special tech.

Unless he programmed them to do that to conserve energy where it’s unnecessary or something.

@Edit: Who cares? 100 pokemon out at once!

Just say everyone attack!
With 100 cybernetically enhanced pokemon and you get an attack that nothing lives thorugh

If the shield only activates when an attack or attacker gets close, the system will conserve energy anyway. Or if the shield is, essentially, reactive rather than proactive.

Lol he only has 16 pokemon.

More than that and he’d be sending out the wrong ones.

But yeah, The Bond Shield works as well as how many pokemon are on the field.

If he has 3 out, One faints, the shield will still be up.

Its just its easier to tire a shield from a frail pokemon in comparasin to a tougher pokemon.

At this point, shouldn’t we just ask the Prof about his own tech?

EDIT: Psychic!

Normally I’d bring up my personal qualms on balance regarding all that (pokemon with intangibility and invisibility and, if I read an earlier post correctly, an ability to effectively de-power an opponent who lands an attack) but this is moviecodec. .-.

Different pokemon have different Properties.

It just happens that Eidolon likes Ghost pokemon, Which have abbilities simular to ghosts.

Other than that he has Two Psychic pokemon and a plain-vicious Brute that is a Krookodile.

Gummy (Krookodile) has jaws that have undergone heavy surgurey to have teeth and jaws that act like a Chain Saw, His tail is also outfitted with heavy iron blades.

You can easily hit the Psychic pokemon (Unless they teleport) and Krookodile.

Okay, let’s take that character I posted earlier, whose body is made of energy. Would he be able to affect the ghost type?

Yep.

Its just Blunt physical force that will go through them.

Alright, cool.

That’s still not the toughest part of your pokemon, but good to know.

They have the lowest level of intangiability, so it has to be commanded and focused on.

The Intangiability and Invisibility is really only used for stealth.

And only the two Psychic pokemon can Teleport. Heres the list of the pokemon.

Ghosts:
Gengar
Froslass
Golurk (Has trouble becoming Intangiable)
Spiritomb
Jellicent (Male)
Jellicent (Female)
Cofagrigus (Cant turn Intangiable very well)
Dusknoir (Master of intangiability)
Mismagius
Chandelure
Drifblim
Rotom

Psychics: (Can Teleport, Has to be commanded)
Gothitelle
Beheeyem

Others
Krookodile
Porygon-Z (Can become intangiable on an incorpereal level by becoming living, floating, data. Cant do anything while in this state)

And you’re making jokes about MVC...

Have you seen some of these guys? A guy on here was able to move at hypersonic speeds and bust countries casually. And he was serious

Pokemon are quite powerful but they aint no Z fighters or Shonen characters.

Porygon is pretty haxxed, considering you have a shield up as long as he’s alive.

I’ve been in RP’s that are better than what MvC has ever spewed out and they involved planetary level mechs that went FTL.

Theres just a lack of organization and thus there is usually no set parameter for power levels.

I make jokes about MVC because people are so bloody focused on powerful characters that the average becomes retardedly powerful. I normally say to keep a balance of abilities and weaknesses but around here, doing that will usually end up with a severely underpowered character, in which case I can only really say “Well, it’s moviecodec” and withdraw whatever criticism I had. .-.

The Shield disperses if he enters that mode.

Its a “fuck it and run” self defense manouver.

But in this state he can corrupt and destroy computers and data.
