OT: Humans cannot comprehend Omnipotence, it is too big a concept for our small minds to understand. Meaning we should not attempt to discuss it as it will get us nowhere tounge.

Didn’t. Just using the name.

As for omnipotence, it’s why I asked. Discussion of hypotheticals (e.g. if omnipotence = a, b, and c) is possible and we can attribute vague probabilities based on those particular attributes. About the closest you can get to a mature and rational debate, addressing hypothetical situations.

Right then: define “God”, i.e. his/her/its properties, in whole.

The problem here is that God has no one definition. People will just argue for/against its existence based on their own definition of God.

Then this debate is, literally, pointless to try to host.

An omnipotent being could not be ignorant. Omnipotence implies omniscience.

@OP- You’d just have to have a debate about one type of God at a time.

Maybe so. But the views are somewhat similar if referring to the Judeo-Christian God. Most people would agree that:

- He is benevolent towards humans
- He is omniscient
- He is the creator
- He is not limited to the physical plane

As for his omnipotence, how much does it matter whether he is nigh-omnipotent or true omnipotent?

PLEASE do not bring Vs. terminology, e.g. “nigh-omnipotent”, into discussions without providing an explanation of what the term entails.

As for the difference, alterations in capability either narrow or broaden what a deity entails and what arguments for/against do/do not apply. Vagueness gets nowhere.

An omnipotent can wish to be a fool.

It exists, but no human mind can fathom it.

@Pride- If that was possible, it would no longer be omnipotent.
