the first verse: its saying that it is impossible to get to heaven without God, but it is impossible to try to get there in your own strength.

the second verse: God promises that we have hope for etearnal life. Its saying that God cannot lie as well.

How is God “playing” us in these two verses? Hes just telling us that we cant get to heaven on our own strength, hes saying that we need his strenght. That is why so many peoples feel like they are failing in Christianity, is because they try to get to heaven on their own...

Interpret this…..

Koran ( 9:11 ) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

The wrath of the United States of America would be felt throughout the lands of al-Qaeda, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the United States of America cleansed the lands of al-Qaeda; and there was peace. wink

I actually received it in an E-mail. I then searched for more info. As it turns out, there is debate on how Koran Verse 9:11 is translated. I’m finding a lot believe this is how it’s translated as also a few sites will say it’s completely inaccurate. So I don’t know, make of it what you will.

Well...this is what I found...

“[9.11] But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know."

It was here.

Of course God is toying with us.
Remember, God knows EVERYTHING!!! To think otherwise would dismiss that God exists.

Since God knows everything, he obviously knows the future, and to know the future means you have a “virtual schedule” of upcoming events.

For Example:
God knew 3.1 million years ago that 911 would occur. The tragic event that happened in New York City. He knew it down to the last second what and when it will occur. It is as though he could have anticipated this event. Make plans to watch it happen and do nothing at all, but watch.

So yes, he is TOYING WITH US.

wow, now i have an urge to be all deep and religious and stuff. so, i just got back from a church camp, so im sort of still on a God high... so bare with me.

God knows us well enough to know everything. he knows us so well he knows every choice we will make, and how it will affect everything. becouse he is God, and he is awsome smart and stuff, he can figure out exactly what will happen without even trying. so, by knowing how our choices affect the world around us and other people and thier choices, he can predict with perfect acturace everything that will ever happen and everything everyone will do. but, we can choose what we want to do. we have free will. every choice we make is decided by who we are. and, becouse God knows who we are well enough, he knows for sure what we will choose. so, though God know everything that will happen, he lets us do whatever we want. hofely i have not lost anyone yet. (my mind works in weird ways...)

now, why does he let us do whatever we want? well, think about it, what would be the point in controlling us? why would he make entire races that he compleatly controlls? he gives us free will, makes us real people, and lets us make our own choices. he lets things happen as they will for a reason. he could stop it, but everything serves some purpose. i think he does step in sometimes, but not constently. thats why things go wrong in our lives. so we can learn and grow. he can play tiebraker (if a person is sick, he sometimes decides if they die or not.), but for the most part, he lets the earth play its course. he steps in at some points, and those points are known as miricals. but, he doesn’t stop everything. he lets some things happen and play out. he has reason for doing this, even if we cannot see it.

so, in essence, he doesn’t toy with us, he lets life run its course and sometimes lets things happen for greater reasons then the obvious.

well, i kind of lost myself a few times in thier, but thier it is. my first true God rant here. these are my views. if you agree with me, cool, if you dont, i would like to here what you think. i am 15, so i am in no way a scholar, but i think that this makes at least some sence, and i think that i may be right. pluse, i just felt like typing thier...

This thread is lame. The bible contradicts itself like that a lot. And it is subjective as to how you intepret it which is why there are different religions that revolve around the bible.

hey xtrm! its a hoax dude. go here linktext

“The Truth
This is a hoax.
The quote is not from anywhere in the Koran (or Quran).
Chapter 9 verse 11 actually says “But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and we make the communications clear for a people who know." (M. H. Shakir translation)"
