Isn’t Ken Ham one of those people?

OT: I do not believe in God, however I do not go out of my way to say he doesn’t exist. I say believe what you want, just leave me out of it.

I don’t see anything particularly wrong with being made in a God’s image. If being made in God’s image is just humans wanting to feel more important than we actually are, then you’d have to admit a human worshiping say... A spider God or a cat God is far more likely as an origin since it erases the “wanting to feel more important” aspect.

You could make a similar argument for aliens wanting life to look similar to them. But then saying those aliens can’t exist because it would mean it would make us too important.

Whether objectively we are an important species or not can’t be known through inductive reasoning. We can’t say that just because other species died out and we are just another species means that we are unimportant. You could say “We are just one spec of dust in the vast universe” but you can’t say our position isn’t unique. Religious texts often don’t say that life does or doesn’t exist elsewhere. It’s fairly possible a God has multiple planets that he cares about in this galaxy alone. But perhaps he didn’t make all aliens in his image. But perhaps they are equally important. We can’t know as religious texts usually deal with humans and their salvation/enlightenment over “Oh btw I created other creatures on other planets”

He has a Bachelor in applied science with emphasis on environmental biology. Although people on his team likely have them or some sort of masters. But not all of them are necessarily theists.

What happened to that guy who was going on about killing all non-believers if his religion commanded him to?

Thought he was KOS at first, but he wasn’t as stupid.

I personally do not believe in a God/god or any deity as there most likely isn’t one, but I do retain an open mind.

Ehh, I beliece in the Judeo-Christian God, and I believe he’s the Most High, but I’m a close High.

I don’t follow Christian bible thumping goodie goodie ways tho except just being just and believing in God.

Your Facebook newsfeed tells a tale of how a newly enlightened 15-year-old Atheist put that stupid fundie in their place? My girlfriend who you haven’t met because she goes to a different school totally saw it happen and verified it for me.

Of course I believe. It would take a god to have a hand in my creation. Although I am sure if people were songs on his ipod he would have me on repeat.

I don’t see why it’s so odd to people.
Imo it would be far less likely for random space energy to just explode for no specific reason and then conveniently place everything in existance at a perfect balance enough to where life could randomly spawn and then grow to be humans

I mean its a scientific fact that life comes from other life
So even if the Big Bang did happen, something related to the energy that caused it would have had to be alive the whole time.
