Israel is nothing more than another useless country in the middle east, but it garners so much US attention seriously why the fuck does this country care about Israel so much?

I mean we dont need Israel as an ally because we have Europe as an ally, why must we waste so much effort supporting this one country. Actually now that you think about even the Brits have given Israel a weirdly high amount of attention. Its almost like there is something more to Israel than it appears if this country can somehow make superpowers bow down to it.

Explain

1) democratic governments are responsive to the will of voters. A plurality of voters in America favor the position that america should be actively pro-israeli over the position that america should be pro-palestinian + the position that america should be a non-party to the conflict abd take no side at all. 2) The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Israel and America have always shared common enemies and bonds of mutual cooperation in fighting them; first in the form of Soviet proxies and now in the form of militant islam. They have historically been one of our closest allies, and allies watch out for each other. 3) Israel is the only country in the middle east with a stable secular democracy; the form of government america advocates worldwide and seeks to spread throughout the greater middle east, as an answer to the theocracies and dictatorships that have given us the modern Islamist movements.

And Israel is an extremely valuable ally in the war on terror. America and our European allies have a a severe shortage of Arabic-speaking counterterrorism agents, translators, and spies. Israel doesn’t.

well, No doubt that Israel is our allay, and they are so creative. But why in the world the American tax payers have to shoulder 3 billion, and because of their wrong intelligent information we went to war with Iraq, and it cost US over 2 trillion plus still we are stuck with Iraq and spending billions. Here in the US, 1 in 7 children are poor and we have 500,000 homeless people. Our infrastructure’s are falling apart. With trillions we spend on the Iraq war, we could have improve our infrastructure, help the homeless etc. UN, and European allay’s are against how Israel treating Palestinians. Israel is huge liability for US , and Israel refuse to follow International law. why in the world we are supporting them?

America doesn’t care about Israel. The Middle East is the most dangerous region in the world. If u look at what has happened to the Jews during WW2 you’ll understand why America acts like it cares about Israel. Israel is the only Jews State in the Middle East, and since that America uses Israel as a shield and excuse to perform their own political interests Israel is a way for America to find excuses to attack and invade regimes that aren’t puppets of the West like Iran and Syria.America will make an excuse that Israel is in danger and that America’s job is to protect Israel. They will say that Iran and Syria are a threat to Israel and that the only way to protect Israel is to invade and get rid of those regimes. America wants to control anyone and when they see that they can’t control a country or that a country posses threat to their political interest , they find ways to eliminate these regimes and put leaders that they can control. Like Ukraine , America was desperate to try to get Ukraine to join NATO. By joining NATO , America can send troops to Ukraine since it chose to become a NATO Member. America will intimidate Russia and surround them. They will say that Russia posses a threat to Ukraine , their fellow NATO Member, and that they have the right to invade Russia if they posses any threat to Ukraine. That is how the U.S. found a way to impose suctions on Russia. America started the coup and placed a puppet in Ukraine. Russia saw that as a threat and that Ukraine and especially Crimea will help the U.S. to get closer to Russia and alienate them in case of war. Russia took the Crimea since it is an open sea that they can use to import and export goods and also as an advantage in case of War. Having an open sea is important during wars.Like the Vietnam War , Afghanistan War, and Korean War, America found excuses to invade other countries and set up a government that the can control. South Korea is a pathway to North Korea if War strikes and all the NATO countries are a pathway for U.S to surround Russia, one of the few countries that can stand up against the U.S.A and stop them from creating their own empire and violating the Global Law. This has nothing to do with Ukraine, Israel, South Korea,or any NATO Member. All these things are ways for the U.S to accomplish its own political interests which is creating an empire that they can control, and eliminating any one who stands in their way of creating that empire. I hope I helped and sorry that this was so long.

The problem with a lot of the reasons I’ve seen stated here is that those issues are born out of our alliance with them, not the other way around...issues with enemies in the region, issues with terrorists, those are born from interference in the region...we wouldn’t be the “Great Satan” to the extremists if we weren’t actively sticking our nose in things.

Largely, it boils down to two things: religion, and oil (or money, to more to the point). They don’t have the oil reserves either, so hey, why not work together. And to solidify that, the religious morons of the good ol' USA insist that Israel is key to gods plan, so we must get on their good side to stay on god’s good side.

I’d much rather the Jews control the world rather than militant muslim groups backed by Iran.

No, the Jews don’t have a conspiracy, and Jews make up only 2% of the U.S. population, so there are about as many Jews living in the U.S as there are in Israel.

There’s a very simple commandment that Christian nations at least attempt to follow, more so than in previous generations anyway, and that is the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

If you lived in Israel and were being attacked by Hezbollah and Isis, you’d want the U.S. Britain, and France to help as much as possible.
