That doesn’t matter, now or then, you can’t judge an entire faith by its lowest common denominators.

Also the reason christian extremists are outnumbered by muslim ones is because the muslim religion is waaaaaaaay larger then christianity

Christianity is actually still number 1 on the number of followers.

Muhammad pbuh would have forgiven all these men and they would have converted to Islam this very day.

Christian population are about 2.01 billion and Muslims are 2.08 billion.

Okay not way bigger but bigger still.

Last time I checked Christianity was at slightly over 30% population, while Islam was at slightly under 25%.

Extremely misguided post, not only are you factually wrong. Christians outnumber muslims globally (surprise). However even if you add Buddhists into the mix (when is the last time anyone complained about this religion) you actually account for less fundamentalist nutjobs with a much larger number of followers. Islam just is the most violent orientated religion these days and the middle eastern culture is too far removed from western culture to be capable of being integrated into these countries.

Infact China has this problem too the only difference is China don’t take shit from them as basically just told them to f* off. The amount of countries that have problems with muslims is staggering.

Everything I’m finding is saying that those were the numbers as of last year.

Nearly every religion has a bloody history, there’s no sugarcoating it. Most Christian extremists these days do more talking than they do anything else, at least in America. Or maybe I live under a rock and don’t notice things I should?

Either way, we notice the bloodthirsty extremists and the ones that won’t shut up more than we notice the non-violent ones, because violent people are much louder. And sadly, often outnumber the quieter, less violent (or not violent at all) people.

Yeah, Westboro goonies aren’t nearly as bad as ISIS. It’s on them for going to the extreme-extreme (third-world countries or not).

westboro and co. would be just as bad if they existed as the extremist factions of countries governed by the equivilent of an Al Malaki or an Assad. The problem of radical Islam is a problem of weak governments; ISIS-like creatures fill the power void and find a political niche for radicalized religion. Indonesia--the largest muslim country in the world--does not have a power void to fill and does not have this problem. And Modernity in western nation states that use to be the breeding ground for christian violence is the reason we no longer see prolific violence from the fundementalist christian factions that they govern.

What an awful choice of sunglasses.

I’d arrest his ass for that alone. Shit might as well be a felony.

And you wonder why people like Brenton Tarrant exist.
