so... i was re-reading the series, and i noted a place in the third book, Brisingr, a chapter called “intersecting sagas”. that had Eragon meeting a woman with scarred wrists and a girl getting their fortune told.

yet, in Inheritance (the fourth book), a woman with scarred wrists, a girl, and a boy end up saving Roran in the chapter “The Heart of the Fray”.

coincidence? i dont think so.

...she may be Selena. The girl, if this is indeed the case, is then most likely Eragon’s sister.

it was already confirmed that selena died after giving birth to Eragon. though as for the girl, its a probability. as for what they have in similarity to the series, its clear that their important, as solembum (supposedly) spoke to them and angela foretold their future. and as we saw in the series, all that angela told Eragon came true, except for the royal romance. as for the boy, my best guess was he might have been an innocent bystander who became an orphan after accidentally getting involved with the scarred woman, as he was not present in the former chapter. all i can say as a conclusion to this post is...

Galbatorix is not done yet.

It’s a reference to a planet in doctor who. Chris is a fan of the show and wanted to put something in as an Easter egg. Many have made the assumption that angela the herbalist is either a timelady or river song, both of which would work, as it would explain how she can speak in every language, has lived a long time, seems to carry an unlimited amount of items, was able to control time, why solumbum saw rooms that were bigger on the inside than the outside and much more.
