I only read war and war era based books. I prefer nonfiction over novels.

Yeah is repeating over and over again Big Brother is watching you.

Also from the book

“How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live—did live, from habit that became instinct—in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized."

Forgot to add
there
Ministry of Hate, Love, Ministry of Truth..etc

I am 76 and am much more experienced (I’ve lived in more places and at higher altitudes, had more professions and done more different type of things) as well as being more knowledgeable than are most my age.

If I could only have ONE book to read, it would be:

“A Treasury of the Familiar”
edited by Ralph Woods

IF I could have two books, the second would be:

“A Treasury of the Familiar” Vol II edited by Ralph Woods

And IF could only have Three books, it would be the same title only Vol.III

--------

Here is what a reviewer of Vol III said

“This is a book your best friend will borrow and never return, Like the other two books in this series by Ralph Woods, it book contains many hundreds of poems, speeches, and other literary golden nuggets which truly are a treasure to any family which reads.

My only problem with this book is trying to get friends to return it after they have “borrowed” it to check a quotation or a poem. Mine goes to wedding rehearsals, funerals, christenings; wherever people who value words are gathered together.

My library shelf would seem bare without a copy."

------

I could not agree more with this reviewer as after my lending out three copies of Vol. I, and never getting them back, I will no longer lend any copies of them to anyone,

Anywho, I am very sure if your a lover of books and words, you will love these three books as well.

And I suggest, IF you are looking for a gift for a person who loves to read, any, or all, of these books would be most appreciated by them.

Last, I hope all those who are already Atheists and/or those with open minds will read my posts on Atheists and Atheism

Thank You

Neil

“Feed” was an interesting read.
“DO androids dream of electric sheep” was awesome as well. its what blade runner was based off of but this is the original and IMO the better version.
