Ok, i’m attempting to write a book, and in my book in the first chapter, one of the characters are explaining the back story for the universe.

In my rough draft that i wrote down in my my notebooks, the back story, said character speaks about, is 3 and 1/2 pages long. Now i know when typing a paper based off what you wrote in a notebook or on paper, the text gets shorter, but i’m afraid that the text will come out to be about 1 and 1/2 pages when i’m typing. Basically, what i want to know is if as i’m typing this, do i continue to type and leave as is, or do i break it down into pieces?

“hey, how are you today?“, John asked Keith.

The bolded is what i’m talking about. That is the part that will be 1 and 1/2 pages long.
