Okay, so I was thinking of writing some sort of introductory novel to a new hero character and a new villain. I actually have the first villain fleshed out more than any other character. Every good hero needs a villain, so here goes.

Role: Arch-Villain
Real Name: Terrell Talon
Occupation: Geneticist
Code Name: “The Freak” (Yeah, Improvement)
Type: Trans-Genic Mutant
Intelligence: Super-Genius

Morphology:
The Tentacle is a monstrosity of human and animal DNA. He stands 6’5” and is built like the prototypical body builder. However, he has two tentacles protruding from each forearm, and four tentacles from each side of his torso, as well as his back. The tentacles may be used for grappling, lifting, swinging, and even interfacing with technology, and they extend approximately 2 to 3 meters each when fully extended.

Meme:
In order to assist in his plans, Tentacle often attempts to create bio-engineered suits and walkers from further crossing his own DNA with that of other organisms. The running meme is that these bio suits never quite fully function as intended, and they become unstable and unsafe to continue using after a short time.

In spite of his incredible physical prowess, the Tentacle primarily fights the Hero with his Mind. He is a methodical criminal mastermind, not a mere thug.

Goal:
To splice his own DNA with that of our hero in an attempt to stabilize his own DNA and the bio suits he engineers.

I thought about having Terrell be the victim of a chemical accident synchronous with our hero. The hero’s mutation is not disfiguring, but Terrell Talon’s mutation is disfiguring, and for this reason he wishes to harvest the hero DNA and splice with his own to correct for the flaws in his own mutation.

This produces a great deal of resentment and personal vendetta and jealousy towards our hero.

Power Level:
Is able to lift and throw an automobile while not wearing a bio-suit. Is significantly stronger while wearing a suit, and each suit will have different strengths and weaknesses, never fully correcting for their flaws.

In addition to the bio suits, Tentacle is able to shed his skin and temporarily enter stronger, unstable mutations and metamorphs. However, he can only stay in these forms for a short duration before becoming exhausted.

His size is actually not stable, and could be seen to change from scene to scene and issue to issue in order to further demonstrate the instability of his mutation. In addition, new tentacles could grow and/or disappear from different parts of his body as the mutation changes.

Okay, our hero takes shape:

Name: Brandon (Bran) Fel
Code Name: Vengeance
Type: Mutant
Former Occupation: Geneticist
Occupation: Vigilante
Morphology:
Human, stands 5’11”. He appears with brown hair and grey-blue eyes.

Meme:
Enemy attacks regularly pierce his bullet-proof vest, only to be stopped by his body.

Goal:
The Death of Terrell Talon for murdering his wife whilst trying to acquire his DNA secrets.

Power Level:
Exact limit is always left open to interpretation, but he will be seen to bench press amounts ranging from 900kg to 1000kg at various times after the mutation.

He is able to rip off the appendages of The Tentacle and fight him toe to toe in some forms, but is an underdog vs his suit forms and some unstable forms.

His bare fists and his mind are his greatest weapons, but he shows no reservations about using a gun against an appropriate villain either...though some foes are seen to shrug off rounds from various weapons.

Lately, He is wanted for questioning in the deaths and disappearance of several criminals.

I chose the code name “Vengeance," because I need a title name which stands out. Brandon Fel is a reluctant Vigilante. He also has a surviving daughter whom he has put in hiding. Haven’t decided where yet.

Role: Arch-Villain
Name: Vincent Vanin
Code Name: Turbo
Type: Mutant
Occupation: Inventor
Morphology:
Human, average build.

Meme:
“Murdock”. He will be apparently dead repeatedly, but always re-appearing more advanced than the previous encounter.

Goal:
Power. Greed.

Power Level:
Un-gauged. He is able to shape minor temporal distortions into energy projectiles and blades, as well as amplify his physical strength. His base ability is not very focused on its own, so he uses technology to amplify his abilities. I thought that the first few appearances he would use some sort of armored suit to amplify his power, but afterwards he would instead use implants and be more of an agile adversary.

He may be seen cutting through a steel reinforced concrete wall with a single stroke of his “Vorpal” blade.

I would write this as an actual novel form, with each chapter being an installment of a different, semi-sequential short story. Maybe they could each be screenplays for a television cartoon series.
